Rupperts Zukunftsmaschine

Internet / Netzkultur

Eine interessante Einführung in MySpace, Ruppert Murdochs 580 Millionen-Dollar-Wette auf die soziale Zukunft des Internets: «News Corp. has been spinning deals with iTunes, two-minute mobisodes of Prison Break, and download agreements with terrified local affiliates. But none of that answers the question that gnaws at Rupert Murdoch and moguls everywhere: Without the old network certainties, who or what will perform the essential function of a media company – that is, grab and hold attention on […]

«Pourquoi je quitte Liberation»

Medienindustrie

Web first

Journalismus / Medienindustrie

The Nation bringt eine Spezialausgabe zum «National Entertainment State» und fordert: «If the promise of new media is to be fulfilled, progressives must chart a course of activism that confronts the increasing concentration of ownership among the Big Media powerhouses.»

In traditional media, you are first defined by your medium. There is some constraint to the physical or digital definition of the medium the content is delivered on or by, that for the most part determines how you are perceived.» in Blog Maverick: Blogging vs Traditional Media – This time its personal Jeff Jarvis widerspricht: «That’s simplistic. There’s no reason that […]

Die News-Site im Jahre 2016

Online-Journalismus

«Much has been made lately of citizen journalism and the perfect site of the future would build on that. „Editors will be a thing of the past. Instead, users will vote content to the front page. Fact checkers will be the only staff left as they verify and […]

Alles 2.0

Internet

Eine schöne Beobachtung im Economist zur Euphorie 2.0: «Even the longer journey times in the Bay Area are being welcomed as a bullish sign; according to one breathless technology executive, the drive from Berkeley to Oracle’s head office on Route 101 now typically takes 70 minutes, having plunged to 50 minutes from a mid-bubble high of 100 minutes in 2000.» Mehr: Economist.com: Déjà vu 2.0 Economist.com: Web 2.0 | The enzyme that won

«Wir Blogger sind wie Haifische»

Blogging / Online-Journalismus

Schreibt sie auch in ihrem Weblog («Can Bloggers Make Money?»).
