Reporter ohne Grenzen hat heute ein Handbuch für Blogger und Cyber-Dissidenten veröffentlicht. Die Organisation will vor allem Bloggern aus Ländern mit eingeschränkter Informations- und Meinungsfreiheit Ratschläge geben, wie man ein Weblog aufbaut, bekannt macht und dabei anonym bleibt. Am Handbuch haben in der Blogosphäre bekannte Namen wie Dan Gillmor, Nart Villeneuve und Jay Rosen mitgearbeitet. Interessant ist, dass sich Reporter ohne Grenzen zu einer Blogethik äussert («What ethics should bloggers have?»). In einem Artikel schlägt Dan Gillmor 5 Prinzipien vor: Gründlichkeit (Thoroughness), Genauigkeit (Accuracy), Unparteilichkeit (Fairness), Transparenz (Transparency), Unabhängigkeit (Independence). Es sind dies auch die Prinzipien, die Gillmor für sein Honortag-Projekt verwendet.
