Die von Microsoft auf Jahresmitte geplante Weblog-Suchaschine «MSN Blogbot» soll nur redaktionell geprüfte Weblogs in den Index aufnehmen:

«Der MSN Blogbot wird laut Firmensprecherin Karen Redetzki noch vor Jahresmitte in Aktion treten und sich auf handverlesene Blogs konzentrieren, welche die MSN-Redaktion nach Popularität und Glaubwürdigkeit auswählen will. Anders als etwa Google plant Microsoft, die Weblogs nicht in der allgemeinen Internet-Suche zu berücksichtigen, sondern ähnlich wie bei den Suchmaschinen Blogdex, Daypop, Popdex oder Technorati mit einem gesonderten Index zu katalogisieren.»
